The Readers’ Prize

Each year Quais du Polar awards a Readers Prize to a new francophone novel published during the year.

The last editions of the festival it has been awarded to D.O.A for Les fous d’avril (2005), Franck Thilliez for La Chambre des morts (2006), François Boulay for Traces (2007), Marcus Malte for Garden of love (2008), Caryl Ferey for Zulu (2009), Antoine Chainas for Anaishêsia (2010), Serge Quadruppani for Saturne (2011) and Antonin Varenne for Le Mur, le Kabyle et le Marin (2012).

 

The novels chosen by our partner bookshops for this year’s prize are:

La Vérité sur l’affaire Harry Quebert, de Joël Dicker (de Fallois)

Mapuche, de Caryl Ferey (Série noire)

Sacrifices, de Pierre Lemaitre (Albin Michel)

Tais-toi et meurs, d’Alain Mabanckou (La Branche)

L’Homme à la bombe, de Christian Roux (Rivages)

Le Dernier Lapon, d’Olivier Truc (Métailié)

 

Quais du Polar and 20 minutes (freee daily newspaper) launch a call for applications for the 2013 Readers Prize jury that will be chaired by Claude Mesplède, the author of Dictionnaire des Littératures Policières. The jury will have to choose THE 2012 francophone crime fiction novel.
