Autobiography for Quais du Polar
Having left school at sixteen for various underpaid jobs, Denise Mina took night classes and was later admitted to Glasgow University. She never finished her PhD in criminal law and psychiatry, prefering to write her first novel instead : Garnethill, published in 1998. She has since then written many novels, three plays, some comics and made a documentary film.
