Born in 1961, Dov Alfon grew up between France and Israel. Former Israeli intelligence officer, he was a senior reporter, investigator and then editor-in-chief of Haaretz. His first novel, Unit 8200, remained at the top of sales in Israel in 2016 and 2017. He received the Marianne Prize- Une retour-noir dans le Noir and the prestigious international Dagger prize in 2019. Translation rights have been sold in fourteen languages, and the television rights purchased by Keshet, the producers of Hatufim, the Israeli series that inspired Homeland. Dov Alfon currently lives in Paris.
