Katixa Agirre


Katixa Agirre was born in the Spanish Basque Country in 1981. She has a degree in communication, she teaches at the University of the Basque Country and and lives in Bilbao. After several collections of short stories and children’s books, her novel, Los Turistas desganados, was published in 2017, has been translated into several
several languages and won the 111 Akademia prize.Katixa Agirre translated her second novel, Not the Mothers, into Spanish herself, inspired by several news stories and fuelled by caustic reflection. It has been reprinted four times and has been enthusiastically received in Spain. It will also be translated into Dutch, Catalan and English.
