Autobiography for Quais du Polar

At a public reading I talk about my extensive research for my books. Whispers a distinguished older lady to my wife: “Is a husband who wants to know everything so accurately not just terrible?”

Crime favorites

Noir novel : actually it’s three of them (and they are french!) but at least on the German market you also get them in one book: The Marseille Trilogy, containing Total Cheops, Chourmo and Solea by Jean-Claude Izzo. If I had to choose from these three I’d probably settle for Solea (Though Izzo is not a writer from the classic age of “noir” as far as I know he is considered (and I also would put him there) in the tradition of noir or polar and neo polar respectively).

movie : Blade Runner, Ridley Scott.

Noir writer : Jean-Claude Izzo.
