Michaël Sanlaville

About

Michaël Sanlaville first revealed his talent by co-directing Hollywood Jan with Bastien Vivès. Nourished by popular American cinema, he also assumes the influence of manga such as Ken the Survivor. This was a winning recipe for his stories Rocher Rouge and Le Fléau Vert, which he wrote solo. He then joined Balak and Bastien Vivès to create the Lastman series, which won an award at the Angoulême Festival in 2015 and was adapted into cartoons the following year. In 2018, he adapted – again for Casterman – the investigations of San-Antonio, the famous commissioner by Frédéric Dard. He now lives in the Lyon region.
