Patrice Lessard

Patrice Lessard was born in Louiseville (Quebec) in 1971. He is the author of Cinéma Royal l and a Lisbon trilogy: enterrement de la sardine, Le sermon aux poissons (finalist at the 2012 Ringuet Prize) and Nina (finalist at the 2014 literary students’ awards).

With Excellence Poulet, he gave himself started to write noir novel, before repeating in 2018 with La danse de l’ours.

Autobiography for Quais du Polar

I started to write thriller by accident, out of interest in a certain way of carrying a story and out of fascination for thuggish thugs, the stupidity of entrenched places. This is where metaphors come up.
