Born in 1967 to a French father and a Serbian mother, Sonja Delzongle grew between Dijon and Serbia. She led a bohemian life between various jobs (the most notable being the African – Asian trade and craft keeping a night bar) and writing. It is in 2011 that she began writing Dust. Sonja Delzongle , whose youth was marked by the war in Serbia has faced in Africa to another vision of violence and poverty, and wanted to explore in this highly realistic thriller. She now divides her life between Lyon and the Drôme.
