The 17th edition of Quais du Polar will take place from July 2 to 4, 2021.
For this new edition, Quais du Polar will set sail for Europe! An unprecedented journey leading us to meet our neighbors, more or less close geographically and culturally speaking, but all united by one shared project : Europe. Weakened by Brexit and the many crisis that have affected it, what meaning does Europe have for writers today? What units and defines us? Can we characterize European literature? Where does noir genre literary stand in Europe? Is the European noir genre able to compete with it Anglo-Saxon cousin? We will question the present authors and travel with them toward our shared history and the unique history of each country.
This year again, the festival will echo with various musical, cinematic and multidisciplinary projects.
Until then, you can dive back into the festival atmosphere by listening to the conferences of the precedent editions.
