Carin Gerhardsen

Carin Gerhardsen was born in Sweden in 1962. She graduated in mathematics at the University of Uppsala and has since then pushed aside her career as computer engineer in order to write. She developed a keen interest in police investigations as a child, so she naturally turned to crime fiction. She is married, with two children, and lives in Stokholm.

Autobiography for Quais du Polar

”With a judge for a father, Carin was born and grew up amidst criminal affairs. She played the saxophone in a punk rock band and her golf handicap is 12. She is an adventurous warrior who almost got killed by a furious elephant in India and holds the Swedish record for jaundice.”
